VATICAN CITY - Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany, a hard-line guardian of conservative doctrine, was elected the new pope Tuesday evening in the first conclave of the new millennium. He chose the name Pope Benedict XVI and called himself “a simple, humble worker.”
Congats to the new pope.. just give it your best shot! ;)
I called Blanche last friday night, about 10pm, and we talked on the phone until 1am.. we had a short conversation about the newly elected pope.. it was something like this:
blanche: nakita mo ba ung bagong pope?
ako: oo.
blanche: nakakatakot ung itsura no?
ako: ako nga nung makita ko sa TV, sabi ko, "yan ba ung bagong pope? bakit mukang masama?
both: "laughs"
prejudice ba kami? oo nga yata.. hehe.. first impressions lang naman po.. ganito na talaga mga kabataan ngaun, hindi na kasi inhibited, gusto lang sabihin kung ano ang mga opi-opinyon na galing sa obserbasyon.. so eon.. sorry ha?
