i wanna share this...

I spent the whole day in front of the PC (uh, ok, I guess there's nothing new with that.. lolz) but this time, I ain't just killing time, I was looking for websites that contain information on the topic we will be discussing on our speech class ( i think on tuesday), coz, yeah, it's our groups turn to report. Anyweiz, I found a feel-good article written by Ken Blanchard (the author of "One Minute Manager", which is part of our report) that I want to share here:

[ The Limitations of Perfection ]

The minute there is a right and wrong way of doing things, you start to fear failure.by Ken Blanchard

During the first week of January, our family goes to Aspen, Colorado, to participate in a week-long ski program titled "The Magic of Skiing," run by Tom Crum. Tom, an expert in aikido, a Japanese art of self-defense, is the author of The Magic of Conflict.

In aikido, if someone goes to punch you, you are taught not to block the punch. When you try to block a punch, you are using resistance -- your power and strength against the other person's power and strength. That sets up a win-lose confrontation. Instead, teachers recommend stepping aside with an accepting and pivoting movement. This will use the attacker's energy against him or her.

The key to all of this is to learn how to be centered mentally, with both mind and body relaxed and alert. It is in this state of heightened awareness and connectedness that thinking mechanics cease and the flow, or zone, begins.

You can let go of some of those interfering technical thoughts on the ski slopes by focusing on simple physiological responses like breathing, according to Tom. All great athletic movements are done fluidly, without tension. If your breathing is full and continuous, so is the body's state of movement and relaxation. If the breath is held or shallow, the body's movements will be correspondingly rigid and discontinuous. Smooth and powerful breathing will result in smooth tempo and graceful skiing.

Applying this principle to skiing, try "breathing in" as you approach a turn and "breathing out" as you make the turn, suggests Tom. In the process, visualize your breath and energy heading down the hill.

Tom's program shows how skiing is very much like other aspects of our lives. In most cases, you are not reacting to what someone else does but are focused on what you are doing. You are in charge. Tom teaches you to get out of your evaluative role in life and, instead, to experience, enjoy and learn.

One of the things that I have relearned from Tom is the limits of perfection vs. the power of discovery. Tom emphasizes this difference throughout his work.

When you get caught in the perfection trap, you evaluate your performance based on some model. In other words, there is a right and wrong way of doing things. The minute there is a right and wrong way of doing things, you start to fear failure. You don't want to be "wrong." As a result, you often become unwilling to take a risk. When that happens, your focus is on excessive control and judgment. You want to play it safe.

Tom works a lot with schools. When he works with youngsters in kindergarten, he never asks for volunteers. Why? The whole class would jump to their feet. Young children have not learned about perfection yet. They don't even think that there is a possibility of looking like a fool.

It's very different when children get to high school, says Tom. When you ask for volunteers, no one will step forward. They are afraid of being judged. They have learned that there is a right and wrong way to do things, and they should be careful about "sticking their neck out" and volunteering. Why the difference?

Young people understand the power of discovery. When you see a child learning to walk and they fall, when they look up, what do you see? A tremendous grin. They do not evaluate themselves. They just think learning to walk is fun. "I guess that didn't work. Maybe I ought to try something else." They do not evaluate their performance but are into experiencing the moment. They are spontaneous. They are willing to risk. Why? Because they have not learned about perfection. Judgment has not entered their life yet.

The limits of perfection and the power of discovery helped me to see that we need to relearn our spirit of discovery in organizations. If we are to be truly learning organizations, then all of us -- including managers -- need to drop our evaluative and judgmental sides. We should look at everything as an opportunity to learn and discover.

There are no rights and wrongs; there are just experiences. If people are free to learn from experience rather than being fearful of being judged and put down, the potential performance of your organization would amaze you.

An Open Letter to One Pathetic Bitch

Truthfully, this is an edited version of a blog entry from Theena's friendster blog (I don't know her personally but.. yeah, she's a ka-friendster. hehe). These are the exact words I've been wanting to tell to some fucktard (fuckin' retard) who had the nerve to stab me on the back though I've been so nice to her. Read on:

what makes ur life so perfect that u get to question mine?

between the 2 of us ,i am proud 2 say that I AM the lesser evil. You need to open ur eyes pare.. uv been hurting a lot of people unconsciously and u r puttin up a front na kawawa ka and peeps need to sympathize. Grow uP! i know wut uv been saying behind my back, "si rakel ay ganyan at ganito..." that i accept. thats fine with me, i never denied the fact that some peopLE dont like me, cant blame 'em, do i luk like a freakin people person? nah. pro wut if i spill out ur own beans, and tell everyone wut type of person u r huh? why dont we do that, lets clean each other's closet huh? I am not afraid.. and ul be surprised how much i am willing to spill... since pinocchio wud hav been embarrsed with ur fascinating lying capabilities.. haha! hmmm...tempting.

Hayaan mo, Karma is doing her rounds na, baka malapit na sya sayo. I dont hav 2 roll out d red c for anyone anymore. i dont care if people wont like me. u made me numb and i am feeling fabulous about it.

Men are respectable only as they respect.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson (American Poet, Lecturer and Essayist, 1803-1882)

1. Watching young people talk like as if they'll be part of the same banana electorate that we have today really saddens and frustrates me. I thought our generation is different. I thought our minds are far more resistant to brainwashing and corruption. I hope my presumptions are not true...

2. I think you would agree with me if I say that a lot of young people today have bright minds and deep sense of understanding of things around him. I even chose to look up to a few of them, admiring them for having a different kind of maturity and higher level of thinking unlike most of the people at their age. But those who are worthy of my admiration are only those who have the right kind of attitude. Your intelligence is futile if you don't have the right kind of attitude.

3. Two things I hate the most: one, injustice. two, lack of respect. Injustice, I can tolerate because I've seen enough of it already and all I could do about it is to try to be someone who will never be part of it. Lack of respect is something I can't, and won't, be able to stand. Everytime I see someone being disrespectful to another, whoever he/she is, there's this burning need inside of me to insult and belittle that person head to feet and point out to him that he/she is nothing but a disgusting, pathetic piece of garbage.

...hmm, let's see, I think there's a very unfortunate person here on earth who is: 1) stupid 2) doesn't have the right kind of attitude and 3) disrespectful

... sayang, gwapo ka pa naman.

Hehe, backstabbed someone again on this entry.. ang mag-react, sapul! hahaha!! anyweiz, me and some of my classmates will be on Y Speak tomorrow... audience lang naman. Heck, I don't even know what's the topic so I guess I'll just be there to take pictures of ryan and bianca... kidding!

Humbling Experiences:

I was elated when Dave told me that Mr. Mortel, the DEAN of the PolSci Department, was looking for me and was planning to give me the project of designing something... "WHOA...!!" Kilala ako ng Dean? CooL. =D)

I was chosen to be one of the three adjudicators in a debate in our ParlPrac class. Heck, I wasn't even aware that they just did kasi may nakasalpak na earphones sa tenga ko coz I was listening to some music during that time with tin. Well, hindi yun ang ikinatuwa ko. What counted as a humbling experience is when it was my time to state my opinions and judgements on the debate that just took place, the room got really quiet and they were actually wanting to hear what I've got to say... and that's not just it! I even noticed a few people on the far side standing up and looking to where I was sitting! Wow! I'm extremely flattered! Haha! Nakakatawa din at the same time kasi hindi naman talaga ako marunong mag-adjudicate eh... buti na lang nagkaron ako ng konting experience nung high-school. Haayy.. thank you my high school Alma Mater! I even remembered the debate legendaries Prince Boeck and the guy from section B (I forgot his name)... those assholes and how they pissed the hell out of me during debates way back in high school! haha!

I hope Your blessings will keep on coming... =D

the looking glass self

[ the looking glas self ]

we had an activity in our speech class, about the looking glass self, which is, knowing your identity from other people. we were asked to place a paper at our back where everybody can write and tell how he or she sees you. I wasn't really expecting a positive and deep appreciation of who I am in reality neither did I expect something negative because I know I'm new in P1. If you're interested in viewing my paper, click the thumbnail below for larger view

[ the forum ]
right after the speech class, we eagerly went to the FEU auditorium to attend a forum conducted by the Institute of Law Student Council with the theme, "CROSSROADS: Road Map, Please!". I was thinking of missing the said forum and eat instead because it's already 3pm and I still haven't eaten anything. But upon hearing the presence of Congressman Cheese Escudero and DENR Sec. Mike Defensor as 2 of the 3 guest speakers, I knew I had to postpone my plan of killing my hunger.

This forum HAD the purpose of answering inquiries regarding the current political situation of our country; "Where do we go from here?" is the question, as suggested by the theme itself. The forum started with the 3 politicians stating, and presenting to us, each other's "truths". Cong. Sandoval's presence as one of the 3 speakers was, if not totally ignored, barely even noticed, because the forum became the arena of Escudero (the ONLY guy from the opposition I really admire) and Defensor (a known "sugo" of the administration). Escudero, as usual, managed to impress the entirety of his audience with his "intellectually charismatic" way of speaking, mixing his statements with humor (i.e. "magsasalita na lang po ako sa tagalog, I don't enlish very well..") that totally appealed to most of the FEU students. I believe I can't, and won't, be able to share to you in details what exactly happened in that forum nor can I share with you the same ideas that filled the auditorium. All I can give are my mere opinions:

First, I find Escudero's statements contradictory. I can't mention all but I can give you one: A super hot babe, a future lawyer maybe, had been given the privilege of asking Cheese, starting her inquiry with sentiments telling that she was saddened by the fact that such a fine man like Escudero have chosen to collaborate with known TRAPOS (or people with questionable integrity, as she puts it) in the opposition. Escudero's answer is something to this effect: "malay mo, ayaw ko rin sa kanila... tigilan na natin ang paglalagay ng tatak sa noo ng mga tao, na maka-marcos yan, maka-erap yan, trapo yan... etc.... let's start something anew.. etc." just to conradict it later when some other person asked about the wiretapped tape. He said that there's a plausible theory that the wiretap wasn't intended for PGMA, but instead, for Garcillano, because he was "kilalang magaling mandaya" in elections. See? he totally forgot about his lectures of not marking someone on the forehead.

As for Defensor, I think he's no equal to the competence of Escudero, and I believe he has the same idea about it. But still, I liked him. He presented his arguments clearly, but not entirely completely. The questions thrown at him were not directly answered... and I guess that's the problem of that forum - questions were left unanswered, instead, even more piled up on our minds.

... I went out of the auditorium hungry for food and hungry for solutions that were not adequately provided by our guests.

got 88/100

weee!! got 88 out of 100 in my ParlPrac exam! well, as for for POLS7 and POLS9, no results up to this moment.

[erm. ur not interested with this, right?]
He made me a complete stranger to myself. That guy, he didn't just give a new meaning to happiness as I've known it, but he also showed me the way to it. If I were to describe him in just one word, the word would be great... great in a sense that he possessed every components of the ideal man I've imagined within the faculty of my mind - smart yet not too pa-epal, funny, witty, assertive, good conversationalist, into music like me, spiritual, creative and other adjectives that I've failed to mention, which I'm still not familiar of, but could've been the better terms to use so as to describe him more precisely. But, yea, it's such a pity that he owned the bigger brain to contain all the vocabulary terms that my mind can't store anymore... mental overload, maybe? or mental incapacity? I don't know. Hell, I don't even care. For now, I'm not wanting to learn anything more than finding the way to his heart.

It's not the looks, for I find his features ordinary. I think it's the attitude and personality that made me fall like this, or maybe it's just the way he talks... grrr... I can't get him off my mind.. this feeling is alienating, weakening. I'm like an 8 year old girl having a first crush, only this time, not with the campus heartrob, for I've never fell for those who are equipped with only nice eyes and smile, nor the tall, dark and handsome ones, who dig and dream of hot heart evangelista look-alike chinitas, but never had the capability of changing the world, too much time being wasted on hailing the god he sees everytime he faces the mirror.

I don't just admire him... I worship him. But worship and love are two different things, the former having a temporary status in my mind while the latter having an eternal status in my heart. I don't love him... but I feel my heart is driving its way to a place where flowers bloom and sun shines brighter than before... a place where all those cheesy, mushy, icky stuff belonged that I used to laugh at before.

damned

[damned]
I was reading a paperback awhile ago, the one I bought at BookSale Taft. It is a collection of horror short stories from various writers... but hell, buying and reading that book wasn't exactly the story I've planned to write about... it's about the song that had been played on the background whilst I was reading my book... damned by shimoli. That wasn't the first time I've heard that song, but it was only then that I've been able to appreciate its lyrics... I find it funny, and kinda related to my current feelings about someone. So, ayun, I had to put down the book and went back to reading it again only when the song managed to end.

... gusto kong matutong magluto ng ibang foods... i want to unleash the cook in me!! naksss!!

hmm.. don't be surprised if you see a bigger me in the coming days... it's just that I've been killing boredom with foods right now... especially junk foods.. which I'm not a fan of naman dati.. wanna pig-out with me? hehe

I did a little experiment on Adobe Photoshop... I've tried to find a way to merge my face with that of urumi's... and here's what I've got, a picture of someone who is neither urumi-like or racquel-like...

free at last...!

I love my section right now! Kasi, although may mga pasaway dun, wala namang mga grade conscious assholes na nakakaubos ng pasensya... at saka, they have this grim humor which I really adore.. hehehe. kaya lang, may mga tao dun na hindi ko pa rin pinapansin kasi... mukha silang pusod.. nyaknyaknyak! hindi naman ako mahilig manlait, pero sana lang, mabait siya... kahit mukha siyang pusod. BUT, there are those guys in P2 who deserve to be admired... actually, marami sila.

I feel like bringing back the E-BOOKS download area on this site.. check out the available titles, baka may magustuhan ka, but not now, maybe later.

Anyweiz, the exams are so freakin' hard! Nope, I'm not saying these para may excuse ako if ever I flunk the tests.. coz somehow, I feel confident about my answers naman, it's just that I believe I could've answered more intelligently if I had adequate sleep.

ahh... I really need to sleep now.. not because I'm sleepy but because I still need to finish those cases I keep on telling here about... bye.

[ lesson learned for today ]

Ayn Rand (February 2, 1905 – March 6, 1982; first name pronounced (IPA) /aIn/ (rhymes with 'mine')), born Alissa "Alice" Zinovievna Rosenbaum, was a popular and controversial American philosopher and novelist, best known for her philosophy of Objectivism and her novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. Her philosophy and her fiction both emphasize, above all, her concepts of individualism, egoism, "rational self-interest", and capitalism. Her novels were based upon the archetype of the Randian hero, a man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Rand viewed this hero as the ideal and made it the express goal of her literature to showcase such heroes. She believed:

1. That man must choose his values and actions by reason;
2. That the individual has a right to exist for his own sake, neither sacrificing self to others nor others to self; and
3. That no one has the right to seek values from others by physical force, or impose ideas on others by physical force.

There are some posters posted (of course) on the walls of FEU (did not come from the school administration) telling us to join the call for PGMA's resignation by walking out of our classes and go with the rent-a-mobs in their pathetic rally tomorrow against Arroyo. Duh... if you'd be having an exam on Intro to Law, are you going? Kayo na lang no!!

[ lesson learned for today ]

A weasel word is a word that is intended to, or has the effect of, softening the force of a potentially controversial statement, or avoids forming a clear position on a particular issue. Weasel words can be readily identified in a large amount of corporate correspondence, and are frequently used by politicians. A weasel word can be compared with, but is distinct from a euphemism.

Though the imagery of the term suggests that it implies the concept of a weasel as being sneaky and able to wiggle out of a tight spot, The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language says that the term actually comes from the weasel's ability to suck the contents out of an egg without breaking the shell; thus, weasel words suck the meaning out of a statement while seeming to keep the idea intact.

Weasel words are almost always intended to deceive or draw attention from something the speaker doesn't want emphasized, rather than being the inadvertent result of the speaker's or writer's poor but honest attempt at description.

practicing laziness on sundays...

Awhile ago, I began working on the 10 cases (actually, I only have 5 cases with me because I refused to photocopy my other classmate's copy of all 10 cases thay have, because it is so costly to do so.. nagprint na lang ako from the internet) that are needed to be passed this coming Saturday. I've started with the Sy Joc Lieng Vs. Syquia case and uhmm.. yea, after reading it, I put my pen down and daydreamt instead. Haha! Life is easier this way, no thinking about some deceased chinese merchant whose supposed descendants were suing one another for their right to inheritance. Don't worry, I've promised myself to digest at least 5 cases tomorrow... wish me luck. =D

[ fine dining @ market! market! ]

arrgh!! we (kuya Hermes, Ate Ivay, Tanya and of course, me) are supposed to shop today at Why Pay More? (a sportswear store near Uniwide, Crossing) but due to some unknown reason, it isn't open for business as usual. I'm really wanting a new bag pa naman!! I think I'm buying that black and white Accel messenger bag worth 450php.. hmm.. naiisip ko pa lang, naglalaway nako.. ewww... hehehe!! ay oo nga pala, nagpunta na lang kami agad sa Market! Market! to check out if there's anything worth buying there. Ayun, naglakad-lakad sandali, tumingin-tingin na rin sa mga stores then nung nakaramdam na ng gutom, we went outside (yes, outside) to hunt for the perfect place to eat. After a long discussion about where we should dine, we all agreed on Blackbeard's Seafood Island resto, although I'm a bit hesitant coz I find it impractical to eat at such a fine (aka expensive) diner. I don't know what they did with the rice but it really tasted good, no, I think the word to describe it should be "superb". I recommend it because the place is cozy and the ambiance, accomodating. Seafood Island is located near the Jeepney Terminal of Market! Market! Mall.

I never considered myself as someone who is pro-Gloria, but I guess as a concerned citizen, I know I need to make a stand. I want PRESIDENT Gloria Arroyo to stay in power. If I have to bring this fight on the streets, I'll gladly do so. Even if it takes having to leave my classroom for days, I'll make the sacrifice of doing so. Why? Truthfully? I don't know. It may seem not to be the right thing to do, to continue giving your trust to someone who have lied before, but it feels like the good thing to do, believing that what she did could be regarded as necessary evil.

Everybody else now is calling for her resignation... are you going to join the bandwagon? If you're planning to, please consider analyzing about the possible consequences once she tendered her resignation. Think, people... think.

Famous Serial Killers

Yoo Young-Chul (born 1970) is a self-confessed South Korean serial killer and cannibal. Although he admitted to murdering 21 people, mostly prostitutes and rich old men, the Seoul Central District Court convicted him of 20 murders (one case was dismissed on a technicality). Yoo burned 3 and mutilated at least 11 of his victims, admitting he ate the livers of some of them. He committed his crimes between September 2003 and July 2004. He was sentenced to death on 13 December 2004.

Born in Tolima, Colombia, in 1949 Pedro Lopez became notorious as the Monster of the Andes. According to Lopez, his prostitute mother kicked him out of their home at age eight for fondling his younger sister. He was then picked up by a pedophile and was sodomized. He was taken in by an American family, but later ran away with a teacher from his school. When he was eighteen he was gang-raped in prison and retaliated by killing three of his assailants.

Upon his release he started killing young girls with glee and impunity. By 1978 he claimed to have killed more than 100 girls in Peru. After a brush with an angry village mob he moved his activities to Colombia and then Ecuador where his bloodlust averaged about three kills a week. He found killing Ecuadorian girls enjoyable because they were "more gentle and trusting, more innocent." It is widely believed that three hundred is a low estimate.
Haha! ang saya nung Speech class namin kanina! May group presentation kasi kami today. through acting, we are to show situations wherein these 3 non-directive responses would occur: Uh-huh, reflective content and open question. I was not able to prepare a script last night so I've only managed to come up with a script during our Stats class together with Angela. We've been able to come up with one crazy kick-ass story that is really unique coz it showcases talking fishes.. hehe.. ( Paul even referred to it as Finding Nemo-like.. nyeks! ) There were 8 groups in all and it elated us in great measure to have achieved the fourth place... achieving it with less effort on our part. But of course, I know it could've been better if only we had the time to make it even better.

[ free burger king meal courtesy of rhiane ]

Rhiane asked me to accompany her in buying a small Sto. Nino figurine... unfortunately, we didn't spot a store offering that kind of goods so we just spent the remaining of our breaktime in BK. Of course, having only 100 bucks as my baon for today, 60% of which is allotted already for my transpo fare back and forth, I couldn't afford anymore to buy myself a meal because I've already bought a hotdog sandwich in 7 Eleven earlier. Well... nalibre na naman ako. I want to thank Rhia whole heartedly for the delicious Chicken Steak that filled up my tummy. =D

While and after chomping the BK goodies, we talked about a lot of things (in short, nagtsismisan) related to people, especially our classmates. She also shared family life and love life stories. She told me something that made my heart jumped for joy.. he told me about what Dave told her... that they will prioritize (I don't know if this is the right term to use) keeping me as their company during breaks because.. uhmm.. yeah, they like me. =D Naks... nakakatuwa naman. I feel so appreciated. Thanks guys.

Did you know that...
1. Today, July 9, Argentina is celebrating their Independence Day?
2. Charles Darwin's illness, which afflicted him for 40 years, could have been Chagas disease, an exotic South American parasitic infection transmitted by the bite of the assassin bug, a hematophagous insect, while he was exploring the Andes during the famed voyage of the Beagle?

habang nagkaklase kanina, ang daming newsflash through text na nai-share sa amin. nandun ung bumaligtad na raw si Cory Aquino at ang Makati Business clubs, now they are calling for GMA's resignation na rin. andun din ung sigaw na charter change ni FVR. and I've just read about JV Ejercito telling joyously: "We Won!" or something to that effect. naks, para na namang karnibal ang politika sa Pilipinas. dinaig pa ang drama ng mga imported chinovelas ah! but the sad thing here is, there are REAL people who were adversely affected by these careless actions done by those people who are supposed to sacrifice their own interests for the achievement of the interests which are beneficial to all.

Sorry, sir, sorry. Props go to Prof. Reyes for somehow backing us up by saying that even if we're unexplainably exuberant at times, she won't deny that our class is composed of bright students.. naks na naman.. kasali bako dun? again, Sir Bong, sorry.

lazy ass in the morning, crazy crammer at night...

ay teka, congratulate me for I have managed to finish my assignment on POLS9 just awhile ago... galing ko no? grabe, pinasakit ni Rousseau ang ulo ko.

the value of values...

Hindi sila nag thank you. Pag sinabi mo bang "paki", may naka-attach na dun na isang invisible na "thank you"? Eto pa, pagka-baba ko ng jeep, may nakita akong lalaki na may bike, hinarap nya sa kabilang side ung bike nya. natamaan ng gulong ung babae na nandon malapit sa kanya (sakit non). you know what he did? wala. tiningnan nya lang yung girl na hinahawakan ung bodypart na natamaan nung bike. walang sorry, umalis siya.

thank you at sorry. hindi naman mahahabang salita di ba? so bakit parang napakahirap sabihin? bakit parang mahirap pa rin maalala? nakakainis.

still haven't reviewed...

I have a quiz scheduled tomorrow on International Relations and I still haven't touched any of the review materials I have. I'm so lazy. I just want to face the computer monitor and forget about my studies... for how long? I dunno.

My kuya made me watch one of his latest movie downloads, he said t'was some teen flick na may pagka-Charlie's Angels.. when Kuya left to head who-knows-where, I've watched it with full enthusiasm... hehe, ewan ko ba, I miss watching movies na kasi. The movie was entitled D.E.B.S, stands for Discipline, Energy, Beauty, and Strength. Comedy and Romance na hindi pambata. Uhmm.. I really don't know how am I going to present to you my own synopsis of the movie, so why don't you just go to this site and read it there. Thanks.

From what I've read, t'was a film showed last 2004 at Sundance Film Festival and re-released in selected U.S Cities last March, 2005... DVD was made available last June 7, 2005. I guess now you have to borrow my CD if you're interested in watching it, unless of course someone will bring it here. I've also read that the movie was included in the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Film Festival... wonder why? For you to know and for me not to let you know... haha! Hey Evita! I'm recommending this movie to you! Go watch it with your special someone. *wink* *wink*

Haayy.. need to get up early tomorrow, para magbasa ng Philippine Star, Basic Rules of IHL at magbasa din ng buhay ni Kant.

an odd mix of songs...

I've already removed the songs on the featured songs area. I've replaced them with something not too mainstream and are neither too new nor too old, I'm talking about the following songs:

Inside Your Heaven - Bo Bice (CD VERSION)
Inside Your Heaven - Carrie Underwood (CD VERSION)
The Scientist (ACOUSTIC) - Coldplay
Mad World - Gary Jules
How To Deal - Frankie J
Going Crazy Remix _ Natalie

If you don't know any of these songs, then forget about downloading any of 'em. =D

That song Mad World, I know it is an old song, but I kept on hearing a new version done by a girl on Home Radio and I believe her revival can't be tagged as mediocre. Unfortunately, can't find a girl version of the song on the net, the only available dl aside from Tears for Fears (original) is the revival by Gary Jules for the movie soundtrack of Donnie Darko.

The song is so beautiful, yet haunting. It was solemnly sang yet I find it so frightening.. I dunno. I brings unwanted chills yet I'm craving for it. Weird.

[Mad World]

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places
Worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going no where
Going no where
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression
No expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow
No tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very very
Mad world
Mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
And I feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen
Sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me
No one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me
Look right through me
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very very
Mad world
Mad world
Enlarging your world

a letter to someone.

you. yeah, you. you are a disease in the society I'm currently living. you don't deserve to exist in my world, so why not consider committing suicide and go to hell, where you truly belong? you know how I see you right now? nothing but a beautifully crafted gift box filled with all things obnoxious inside... trash, junk, poop, vomit.. you make me wanna puke. I want you to know that many people are already sick of your arrogance... a**hole.

Wow, I've managed to give some of my precious time to write somethin' bout you? When you don't deserve even a split second of anybody's time. Lucky for you, we don't see each other too often anymore, because if we do, consider yourself already ruined. Don't you know that we're so into backstabbing you? And we don't even regret doing such because you're the most deserving person of those stabs... bleed, a**hole, bleeeedd! ha-ha!!

Alam mo bang mas may silbi pa sayo ang isang basahan?

statistics, first subject... ho-hum. next! Quiz in Speech 2, got 19/20, watched a copycat presentation of a report. BREAK for one and half hour, used the hour on E-Lib while the remaining 30 minutes were spent in the library. Shitty FEU library, I had to throw away my bottled drink just to be able to get inside.. don't they know I've spent 19pesos for that 500ml Mountain Dew? Konti pa lang naiinom ko dun no... shitty talaga. After doing the pretentious act of literally just flipping the photocopied pages of the Family Code of the Phil., I've headed for AB 308, and rejoiced with the whole class after finding out that Ms. Gemzon wasn't around.

[ Happy Birhday Leo ]

Umuwi muna ako ng bahay para magpalit ng damit from school uniform to casual wear, then off to Pasong Tirad na. Luckily, but still a little bit unfortunate for me, naabutan ko pa sa kanto si Franz, kasama sina Dan and Ferwen na naghatid sa kanya. May model pa-epek pa with matching pakikipag-asaran with Jake. I could've witnessed some more action siguro... actions of what sort? ewan. nyahaha, nah, just kiddin'! All in the name of love... love for a bestfriend! naks. =D Had a serious and personal conversation with Dan while with Bert, more on politics and studies.

Exerpts from: The Manila Times:

FORMER President Joseph Estrada will head a national council that will take over the reins of government after President Arroyo is ousted, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada said Thursday.

I know that could be possible, Jinggoy, but is it LEGAL? I don't think so. This is not movie world Jinggoy, welcome to the real world. We don't need such ridiculous suggestions or ideas and we won't even bother to reconsider.

Asked who would head the council, he replied: "Erap."

Aha! I knew it! A horror flick for a change. Now I know who are the actors, I wonder who's the director...

"Congress will be abolished, the Supreme Court will be revamped, and charges will be filed against Mrs. Arroyo and members of her family," he said. "I don't know what role Susan will play, but she will remain our inspiration."

Translation: There will be no rule anymore. Representatives of the people will be moved out of our way. We will kill democracy. That's how much we love power and money. And oh, we will revive guillotine for the execution of the Arroyo's. Susan? Who's Susan?

"We were jailed although there was no evidence against us and the only witness was a confessed jueteng operator," Jinggoy said, alluding to Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis Singson.

Translation: We don't deserve jailtime! Ask the 11 million strong supporters of my father about it, for they are the real source of power, aren't they? Even if in reality, we're just using them to feed our greed. Stupid people. They will stay as poor as they are and we won't even try to educate them, it's they're down right stupidity who had brought us here, so why cure it? Anyway, about our plunder case, we will insist that there's no strong evidence against us besides from that balimbing Singson... we've kept it all well hidden, we're just so good at deceiving people, don't you think? That Singson is shit, we shouldn't have made a deal with him.

He said the revolutionary government would rule for about a year, before allowing democratic elections to take place.

About a year? No definite time, Jinggoy? That's way too scary.

Several leaders from Cebu, Pampanga, Mindanao and the Ilocos region, however, have warned that they would not obey any government installed through extraconstitutional means. They said they would not allow "imperial Manila" to dictate what should be followed in the entire country, arguing that Manila is not the Philippines.

At last, our people are beginning to think. Let us unite to revive our country. Let us not contribute anymore for the further downfall of our country, our beloved country.

good wednesday...

just wanna share this funny photo taken last june 26, Julianna's 1st birthday:

franz, rakel, jean and some obnoxious guy at the back.. kidding. hehe

grrr.. damn! on my way home from school, I've decided to stop-by at BookSale (Taft branch) just to look and see if there are some on sale, low priced books that are somehow related to what I'm studying right now. Upon entering, the first thing that caught my sight were the paperback novels or pocketbooks that are neatly placed upward so as to show that they are new arrivals with titles worth buying. You know what? I just saw 6 titles by Mary Higgins Clark and 4 titles by Agatha Christie! Magkakatabi at magkakasunod pa! The only money left in my wallet is 60 pesos, and I still need to secure the 10 pesos out of that 60 pesos for my jeepney fare. Agatha Christie's novels have the lower price of 60 while CLark's ranges from 70 - 95 pesos. I went out of that store feeling sorry for myself because those are the titles I've been planning to collect ever since I became addicted to Christie and Clark. I just wished that by Friday, at least two titles will left unsold for me to take home and read.

I've enjoyed this day, the good times were brought by the unexpected people. I think I need not to drop off their names here anymore since I've already thanked them personally for the things they've done for me. Y'know what? I think it'll be already hard for me to choose between P1 and P2 as my section for next sem, especially now that I've managed to make friends with some of the P1 people. Haayy.. sabagay, malayo pa naman yung enrolment for next sem, marami pang mangyayari.

If you wanted to be updated on the current political issues here in the Philippines, I recommend visiting this site: houseonahill.net, the sassy lawyer's journals where there are good commentaries on the different political issues of today. (Uhmm, this is not some sort of advertisement, isn't it? I hope so.. hehe)

story of a badly beaten president

Thanks Bobbie, for the reminder for me to update.

Lately, I've been running out of good things to share here...

As a political science student, I'm very much careful of what I say when asked about my political views and opinions on current events, especially on Philippine setting. So I was really disgusted of people who speak of their opinions as if it's already a known proved fact or the whole, stripped to the bone truth. What upsets me more is the manner they present it to us, as if we can not rebutt their damn fabricated "truth" at all, that counter-atack would be oh so useless because of how highly they think of themselves as the most credible intellectuals that they already knew the truth even before the real truth comes out. These are not wise people, not even knowledgeable ones, these are people who have plentiful shit inside their mouth who are willing to spit those shit right on to your face and make you believe it's the most wonderful thing on earth... like the truth. The truth you've created within the faculty of your own mind is not necessarily the real truth of the matter.

Really, if you're considered not to be a professional on a thing, don't act as if you're already a professional on that thing. Or at least have the professionalism to tell things. If you have an opinion, state it as an opinion and don't misled weak and vulnerable minds of some people.

[ ok tapos na yan.. let's MOVE ON... ]

I have received more than my required daily allowance of politics yesterday in our class. People can't stop talking about Gloria Arroyo that instead of trying to begin with that we're supposed to tackle in our International Relations, we've just had stories from past and conclusions from the present, useless debates. See? That's what happening right now. We can't move on in transacting businesses with far more great deal of importance because we're wasting too much time talking about useless exposes and trying to hear everybody's side. Seems like everybody's got something to say, how about someone who has got something to do? Geez, how pathetic these people are.

[ thankful ]

I wanna thank some people for the little but deeply appreciated things I've received yesterday:

1. Kristin for the candy
2. Vhan for the Kit Kat
3. Rhiane for letting me borrow her GelPen
4. Karl for the Mango Shake
5. Paul for the candies (ulet)
6. Abi for letting me borrow her Civil Code of the Phil.

That's it.

bad day...

this is such bad day for me... a bad day indeed.

well, except for the good grade I received from Ms. Cadiz for my drawing in our speech class, everything that happened today is, if not miserable, really bad.

I forgot about our assignment on Technical Writing, so almost an hour off my break was spent in front of the PC, what was left wasn't enough for me to review articles 1-36 of the civil code so I just went straight to the room for our Intro to law class after I've managed to have my assignment printed, closed my eyes and prayed. I guess prayers aren't really enough because I almost fell out of my seat after seeing the questions for the exam. Geez, should I continue to tell you about it? Maybe I shouldn't anymore... tapos na yun, bawi na lang ulet next time.

Next on the list is the freakin' rain! Suddenly, AB building became an island! An island surrounded by flood! I had no choice but to walk through that horrendous flood and let my foot experience the unknown tiny objects entering my shoes. I could even feel movements of some unknown organisms enjoying moisture under my feet! Yuck! Hahaha! Weird din! Eto pa, I didn't bring with me an umbrella, so I'm soo soaked up! (haha! I don't wanna use the word wet, Vhan used it and it didn't sound so pleasing to the ears.. ehehehe) Ei wait up, before I rant more, I wanna thank VHAN for sharing with me her umbrella, and of course, KRISTIN for the same reason, done in a different day nga lang.

Ok, back to my rants, can you believe this? There's no public vehicle passing by in front of P. Campa anymore because of the flood! Can you just imagine the pain I've been through, together with the other students? I'm so tired already I've even prayed for a rescue team to arrive, courtesy of the Manila city government or some other non-profit organizations.. hehe.. I don't wanna lose my cool because of the bad things that took place.. haayy nako.

conversations made out of pizza and bottomless drinks...

[ conversations made out of pizza and bottomless drinks... ]

I went to Valero Plaza today to fix some documents regarding my educational plan. I was hoping that, since I finally completed collecting the required papers they asked me to bring to their office, I could already get the check I needed to pay my tuition fees. But yeah, they said my mother still needs to sign this and that and I may not be able to encash the damn check because it was my mother's name which was imprinted on that thing.. so, ayun, wala rin kaming napala ni Kim.

I asked Kim to accompany me there because I've only been there once. Of course, we can't just go home and call it a day for us since my agenda only lasted for a couple of minutes. He's starving and although I'm not, we agreed to go to Greenbelt to feed ourselves. Undecided on where to spend our money on to buy foods, we tired our legs out first to look for that perfect place to satisfy our hunger. Tokyo Tokyo seemed not a good choice so we end up eating at Shakey's. I think we've spent an hour or so in that place, if I'm not mistaken. No, we did not plan to have our glasses refilled endlessly by pretending to be slow pizza-eaters (we've just thought about that slightly, I swear!), we stayed that long because we've talked about a lot of things, mostly my stories because Kim is one of the few people who can tolerate my burdensome stories.. hehe. I want to thank Kim for the time used up in accompanying me to Provident Plans office and another big thanks for the delicious pizza and bottomless iced tea that filled up my tummy. thanks kim.. sa uulitin.. hehe. see yah tomorrow!

[ confidence is courage at ease ]

I'm starting to believe now that I am somewhat an attractive being. hahaha! Right now, I feel being so appreciated. Somehow, the thought made me gain some confidence - the thing I believe I'm lacking of. I feel ashamed to admit this, but yea, it's true, I lack self-confidence. I'm not the kind of person who can stand up in front of the class and speak as spontanenously as others do. The thought of committing a mistake petrifies me. I'm also afraid that they might think I'm pasikat or something like that. I hate being judged. I think people are not confident enough because they hate being judged. I guess being not confident enough also tantamounts to not having enough courage. Example is a poor man; he is afraid to go to a fine restaurant which has a snob effect on people even if he only wants to look around or check out the goods being sold there. He fears to be judged in case he did something stupid. I was like that before. Now, I think I'm improving. If you think you are like the old me, someone who is not confident enough, just remember these words of wisdom:

If you think you are beaten, you are; If you think that you dare not, you don't; If you'd like to win and you think you can't, It's almost certain that you won't. If you think you'll lose, you've lost; For out in the world you'll find Success begins with a fellows will- It's all in the state of mind. If you think that you are out-classed, you are; You've got to think high to rise; You've got to be sure of yourself before You can ever win a prize. Life's battles don't always go To the stronger or faster man; But sooner or later the man who wins Is the man who thinks he can. - Author Unknown

hello and goodbye...

Dan's Request: Angels - Jessica Simpson

[ Angels ]

I'm so blessed. I know I've never ever felt miserable because of love. I can be sad, I can be bitter, in an indefinite period of time, but I was never miserable. I may feel left-out but I know I've never been abandoned by anyone I fell for. The thought of being single since birth can really be depressing at times, but the realization that at the very least, I believe, that I'm one of those few who really know how to love compensated for that depressing thought. I want to thank that Being who allowed me to meet all those wonderful persons I fell for... angels who keep on inspiring me to do my best in everything that I do in life.

I haven't said this sentence to anyone of you, because I didn't have enough courage to.. but since I didn't name names here, I might as well shout it out to the whole wide web.... I LOVE YOU!!!! =D

[ New Bag from Market! Market! ]

After tiring my legs out walking endlessly to and from the different shops in Market! Market! at the Fort, I finally found the perfect bag for me!! Haha! It costs 430php... which I already considered to be EXPENSIVE since it wasn't a signature brand ( get 1020 is the bag's brand.. probably from China ]. It is dark green and has a funky lock or something with it. Did you know that I'm a sucker for bags? I want more bags!!

[ A Song Still Worth Listening To ]

If I could reach the stars I'd pull one down for you
Shine it on my heart so you could see the truth
That this love I have inside is everything it seems
But for now I find it's only in my dreams

CHORUS:
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You will think my love was really something good
Baby if I could change the world

If I could be king even for a day
I'd take you as my queen I'd have it no other way
And our love will rule in this kingdom we have made
Till then I'd be a fool wishin' for the day

CHORUS:
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You will think my love was really something good
Baby if I could change the world
Baby if I could change the world

the gloriagate scandal, bow.

a badly beaten president

I don't care if President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had really cheated. If I'm the one who was in her place during the election, I would actually do the same thing. I will cheat, yes, I will cheat, but not because I want power for myself, but because I know for a fact that majority of the Filipinos will do the the most ridiculous thing of voting FPJ for president. I will use cheating to safeguard and secure the next six years of my country. I will cheat so that I can make positive changes in the government. I will fool the people, I will lie to them and I will be willing to pay ANY amount just to prevent FPJ from acquiring the highest position in the Philippine government. But all of these, I will do in silence. Scheme and plot for the common good... haha! I wrote this as a joke, but I'm beginning to feel that it's not like that anymore. You can call me stupid, birdbrain or kupal (hehe.. wag naman) but that's my OPINION and I guess everybody is entitled to give some.

But again, my opinions were based on the pressumption that PGMA is a good president only willing to do bad things for the just, right and good reasons.

And I've just heard that Erap is offering himself to replace PGMA if ever she'll be ousted... the mere imaginations in my head are already scaring the hell out of me, what if it's already a reality? Renounce my citizenship and go to the mountains of Timbuktu? I know that it's not impossible for him to be president again... why? remember the record-breaking landslide victory with 11 million plus votes? He's the man who got that, right?

Really, I'm tired of all these efforts to destabilize the government. Please people, please, get enough education for yourself so you can't be easily brainwashed or misinformed. If you want the truth, there's no shortcut to get there.

I'm in no way a pro-GMA, an anti-ERAP nor an anti-FPJ. I know there's a better leader than PGMA but she's the best who's already there, so why not just be civilized enough to support not her but the government she's running?

Ooops... I forgot my readers are just of my own age.. hehe.. =D I can imagine now how some people will react to this post... "politics again, racquel? boring. i think I'll answer that less boring survey in friendster,.. geez racquel, politics again..."
yeah bobbie.. I'm soo busy right now. so busy, can't even afford to use my breaktime to go out and eat. huhuhu.. oras ng pag-kain ko, napupunta pa sa pagbabasa.. last tuesday nga eh, 10am ako kumain sa bahay, then off to school na, ung 3-4:30 kong breaktime, I've spent entirely reading and writing something in the library.. 7:30pm, uwian na, while on the road, I felt so weak, tapos nanginginig na yung kamay ko.. grabe.. pahirap talaga yang pag-aaral na yan.. hehe.

well, I have no choice but to read and study, because I can feel their presence again - people who are expecting something from me. But it's ok, it's just one proof that somehow, I have the capability to actually play the game well... hehe. good luck na lang sakin.

Buti na lang, somehow, I'm inspired to do good in my studies. Sana, wag mawala ang aking mga inspirasyon sa buhay - Thanks and I hope you'll forever stay.. naks, andrama ko na naman. hoy rakel, tama na yang kakornihan mo't mag-search ka na ng ire-report nyo sa Speech2 class nyo, ituloy mo na ang pagbabasa ng civil code of the phil, at basahin mo na ang hiniram na libro ni Karl para sayo. OO nga pala, thanks kay Karl for the book he recommended me to read para sa Political Theories subject ko. Ang bait talaga ng mga guys ng P2. Thanks talaga.

Ang daldal kasi eh.. daming kwento about his suitors.. hehe. pero ok lang , nakaka-tanggal ng stress ung mga patawa nya.

no title again...

Sorry guys but I've already deleted these mp3 files:
Avril Lavigne's Fall to Pieces
Incomplete by the BSB
Bamboo's Hallelujah

Just bought a new notebook! I liked it coz it's green... but what I loved about it is the quote printed on the cover about music:

music is the fiercest grief can charm,
And fate's severest rage disarm;
music can soften pain to ease,
And make despair and madness please.
- Beethoven

hahaha! nakakatawa naman toh! the same old question! "rakel, guy ka ba or girl?".. dati, mejo naiirita pa ko kasi RACQUEL nga d ba? may RACQUEL bang GUY? pero nung nagtagal naman, nasanay nako.. what can I do? e muka talaga siguro kong lalake... hahaha!! to nechi: BABAE PO AKO. =D

[ from ripway to sendmefile ]

I wanna keep on giving you the MP3s you want, but I think other people are abusing my kindness and generosity.. ehem. I think other sites are linking to my files!! those Leeches!!. Today, I checked my bandwidth usage and record shows that I've already used up 17MB of bandwidth! And do you know how much bandwidth I'm only allowed to consume being a non-paying member of RIPWAY? 10 MB! Baka pagbayarin nila ko no, takot ako... hehe. so please, if you're interested in more MP3s here in my site, tell me of some sites where I could host the files for free. If you're already comfortable with sendmefile.com (can store files up to 14 days only and does not support download accelerators) then I'll use it. Haayy, yaan nyo, pagka-graduate ko, I'll buy my own domain and a lot of webspace so I could give you all the files you want! LOLZ... tagal pa nun. hehe... =D

So from now on, I'm not going to use my ripway account anymore as storage for the free stuff... sendmefile na lang.

[ about studies ]

Help! Inuman na lang ulet! wehehe.buti na lang I won't have to go to the library at makipag-agawan sa mga law books dun that contain the 10 cases na kailangan namin sa Intro 2 law. Kasi nakahanp ako sa internet courtesy of Chan Robles Site. Thanks.

the ps0231 experience

I miss my chums in PS0232. I miss na rin my 4A friends.

I'm kinda liking sum1 AGAIN right now.. hehe. A GUY. corny. haha! kaya lang, I think he's a BOLERO. haayy nako, I should know, I'm a BOLERA myself... haha!

PS0231 - I wanted to describe them as a whole, but doing such will only show unfairness on my part. I've only spent 3 days with them, and although I did not have one enjoyable moment with them, I did not have a miserable one either, so I think I'll just have to wait before I post an entry about them containing what are they really like.

Well, one thing is for sure, I don't like SOME of the boys there. I don't like noisy BOYS, never did like. To think that they are already 18 or 19, they should already be acting like MEN. I don't care how big your brains are, I don't care if you know every single word in the dictionary, you are still nothing to me if you don't know how to respect people.

The THING that happened at a friend's house last SUNDAY made me realized quite a lot of things. I'm keeping those realizations to myself..

[ First Day Report ]

OK. eto ang nagyari ngayon. pumasok ako, magugulat ka, HINDI AKO LATE! wahaha! syempre naman, 1:30PM na yun, sobra naman kung male-late pa ko. so ayun, pumasok sa isang room na dadalawa lang ang kakilala samantalang lahat sila, magkakakilala na... imagine the horror I've been through. meron pang nagtanong kung transferee daw ba ko, VAN yata pangalan nun. syempre, pinagmalaki ko na I CAME FROM THE OTHER SECTION.

[ first impression ]

it's really hard to tell the difference between p1 and p2. una, unang araw ko pa lang sa p1 so it will be unfair to both parties kung ikukumpara ko kagad. eto lang ang masasabi ko, sana hindi nila masamain - MAS MAINGAY ANG P1.. grabe. I don't know if it's something negative or positive.. saka na lang ang further details.

[ one prof, two subjects & 1 parl prac dude ]

MRS. REYES is p1's prof for two major subjects - political theories and international relations [although she's KINDA old having the age of 75 YRS OLD, i think she can still handle us well.. sana lang, walang PRO-ERAP sa p1, kasi SHE's AN ANTI. hehe, you should've listened to her stories, she just made ERAP looked more obnoxious to me.. haha! ]

MR. MANLAPAZ is our Parliamentary Practice prof, a LAWYER. Nag botohan kami sa klase nya kanina.. at syempre, nag-usap lang kami ni ELCID, ung classmate ko sa humanities dati.. buti n lang nandun sya, nakabawas ng stress. hehe. uy, GWAPO un si ELCID.. nakikita ko nga sa gilid ng mga mata ko the staring made by the p1 girls on her.. oi ELCID, gusto ko ng ponkan. =D

jenee's request...

JOY AND JANE!! Sorry po!! We're supposed to watch a movie kasi ngayon! Bawi na lang ako.. miss you both! =D

[ my "renovated" room ]

[ PASUKAN NAHHH!!! ]

I'm ready, so.... BRING IT ON!!! =D

uhmm.. sleepy..

I'm tired.. wow.. feels like my head is spinning.. uh, effect of Red Horse? or the walking I did from Guadalupe to my house just to save 20php for the tricyle fare? aaahhh!! My head is really aching and I feel like throwing up! My typing is kinda slow now..

Oh ok, I just managed to retrieve photos from the 4A yahoogroups uploaded by Rio from her digicam.. it's already 4am.. got home at 3AM already. ahh.. post ko n lang ang isa sa mga magagandang pix namin:

bukas n lang ang iba pang kwento.. antok na talaga ko.. buhbye!! =D

[a date with Joy and Jane]

I phoned Joy last night at sobrang kinulit nya ko na pumunta sa school so we can have lunch together with her new friends whom I have never met before na gusto nya namang ipakilala.

So kanina, pinilit kong bumangon nang mga 9:30 AM kasi gusto nya 12nn, andun na ko. dahil alam kong hindi ako pwedeng ma-late this time kasi sandali lang ang break nya, 10:30 AM pa lang, wala nako sa bahay. Salamat at nakrating naman ako before mag-12.. 11:45 AM lang nun kaya I've decided to munch something inside 7 Eleven just to kill 15 minutes of my time.

Nagkwento about her 25 yr. old BF na sundalo. Si Joy, hindi matuloy ung kwento nya about Oscar, her current crushie, dahil laging si Jane ang dumadaldal. haha! Y'know what? I don't care how many stories they tell and how much time will it take for them to finish as long as they're with me.. sarap kasi nilang kasama. OO nga pala, kapag pinayagan si Jane, we'll be watching a movie on Saturday. Nakakainis nga lang kasi gusto kong manood ng Madagascar but Jane already saw the movie, ung House Of Wax naman, napanood na daw ni Joy, kaya yun, klangan pa naming maghanap ng movie na pareho-pareho naming di pa napapanood.

[another short story.. somethin' different, I guess...]

I've started my fourth short story last night.. I think I will make this longer than the 3 stories I've written before. Well, wish me luck on my fourth work... lots of it. =D I believe it will take me almost a month to finish it, and 1 week for the editing and further polishing... wow, I'm a writer wannabe. hahaha!

emote muna...

got bored yesterday so I've decided to kill some time by signing up at PINOYSTER.com.. and guess what? my boredom got worse! their site is too slow! I don't think it was our PC's fault since by the time I've signed up, no other programs are up and running and I'm not downloading anything and we're not on dial-up anymore. And personally, I won't recommend this site to my friends because I consider the site disorganized - links are scattered, you won't know what to click on to get to the page you're looking for - and yeah, you won't know anything at all if you're just like me who doesn't own enough patience. Stick with friendster... =D

I want to say something to someone, but every freaking time of every freaking day feels like not the right time to say it! Y'know what's the problem? ME! I haven't even started a thing yet I'm already figuring out how will it end. There's so many words piling up on my head, words that might become marketable to NO NAME and NO NAME will eventually buy... but my tongue will just get tied up and my mind gone blank whenever NO NAME is already there, ready to listen.

OK. Since I know for a fact that NO NAME is not visiting my site and not the person who has the time and patience to read a single entry on my blog, I will just put inside a poem all the things I wanted to say to NO NAME all along..

The letter

I wrote a letter for you today,
and I put it in a box.
I covered it with my tears,
then I closed it with a lock.

In this letter I put,
what I need to say.
Things that I hold in,
every single day.

This letter isn't very long,
actually it only contains one phrase.
A phrase that I only speak,
when I mean it in every possible way.

I love you I think,
I'm just too afraid to speak.
I'm afraid of what you'll say,
oh those thoughts make me weak.

This letter I hold it tightly,
and I hide it away from everyone.
The one person that should know of it,
the one that means so much.

I'm too scared to hand it over,
to you the one so dear.
So many chances I have,
but it's your reaction that I fear.

Today I wrote a letter for you,
and I've hidden it away in a box.
The inside is filled with my tears and feelings,
and the outside is closed with a lock.

The key I've hidden away,
in the depth of my heart.
It'll stay hidden away there,
till these fears decide to depart.

When they depart and leave,
this key I'll hand over to you.
That will undo the lock and letter,
that I've held secret this whole time from you.

But till then...
Today I wrote a letter.

nope, I'm NOT the author of this poem.. but it's strange how I managed to get to the webpage where this poem is located.. I'm a member of creative-poems.com and I've clicked on a link where you'll be directed to a random poem and look what I've found? a poem absolutely written for me? hehe.. i wish.. =D

heavy conversation...

3 A.M na.. just got home from Leo's house.. already tired and sleepy, but I guess nothing can stop a blogaholic from posting an entry she wants to read again someday..

Dan's dad dropped us off at Riza's place to offer our condolences to her and her family because the head of the Sangrador family just passed away. I'm not really sure if we're there to mourn with her or cheer her up, but I guess everybody is there to achieve the second goal so we played "Killer, Killer" while munching on some free snacks for the visitors of the dead.

When the rain nearly stopped, we've decided to leave so we bid goodbye to Riza and the rest of her family and we went back to Leo's house to drink a little amount of alcohol and talked about a lot of things.

It was fun! I just LOVE the conversation we had about our ideal partners in the 4A circle and who's the best in this and that category. We also had a deep and serious conversation, talked about some naughty things also. We just had a GREAT time together!

may 27

Last night, nakipag-lamay kami kina Riza, namatay kasi ang kanyang tatay.

Condolence to Riza and her Family. May her father rest in peace.

What's with all the hating?

I was really saddened by some reactions made by Bo's fans regarding Carrie winning the title of the new American Idol.. y'know what? You don't know Carrie so stop attacking her and saying nasty things about her. Bo lost but it's definitely not the end for him! He got the talent and the personality to rock the music scene so there's really nothing to be bitter about. I'm a Bo fan myself, but I've got to admit that Carrie really did a good job during the AI finale so congrats to her and congrats to Bo for being the runner up and good luck to both of them.

Get over it. It shud've been Anwar on the first place.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated."
- George Bernard Shaw

I'm Officially Enrolled!

American Idol Goes Country With Carrie!

Sobrang ganda talaga nung Angels Brought me here nya! mejo nainis lang ako kasi pumiyok sya bandang huli... hmmm...

[ the officially enrolled ]

Enrolled nako!! YESSS!! Ganda ng sched ko! Puro panghapon! Whew! Will I do good in a class where there's a lot of new faces? hehehe.. nakakatawa naman tong nararamdaman ko.. parang first day ulet ang feeling.. =D

kinakabahan ako sa mga subjects kong "Parliamentary Practice" at "Into to Law" ah! tunog pa lang, nakakatakot na.. e pano pa kaya ung MATH 30P? grabe... math na naman.. ang aking pinakatatakutang subject, amen.

"Let's Do the First Day Funk Nah!!!"

she did it!

I thought it would be BO....

the next American Idol?

but after watching the final performances of Carrie Underwood, as well as that of Bo Bice, I would say that Carrie and her version of Angels Brought me Here impressed me sooo much that I just have to change my prediction about Bo as being the next American Idol...

Bo Bice was good last night but Carrie was at her best! Bo's performances used to bring me chills but last night ones failed to bring me the same kind of feeling.

GRADES?

HA! I already got my grades!! haha! I got one failed subject! Physical Education! and y'know what? I don't care! What I'm raving about is the grade of flat 2 I got in my Comparative Gov. subject! woohoo!! I was really expecting a 3 or a 5 in that subject because I didn't do good on that subject! Imagine, t'was a 7:30 AM class and if not absent, I'm always late in Ms. Gemzon's class!!! I didn't even manage to take up my midterm exam! I'm just sooo thankful to her!!!! Thanks Ma'am!! I promise to do good in Intro to Law if ever you'd be my professor on that subject! that's a promise!

the wreckers...

I'M WANTING THIS ALBUM! But I've just read on an internet article that the release of The Wrecker's album wil be on '06! WTF!?

YUP! the wreckers is made up Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp

Currently, the only single available for public hearing is "The Good Kind", which is included in the soundtrack of the TV series "One Tree Hill"

MABATO PALA SA LAGUNA!

Yep! yesterday, we've been to some kind of an isolated area in laguna (ang layo kasi eh!) kung saan kami nagswimming! wow! sobrang lamig nung tubig!! BRRR... parang galing ref ung tubig! y'know what? hindi sya swimming pool! some kind of batis na ang linaw ng tubig at mejo malalim... parang ang lapit ko sa nature when I was there coz andaming halaman... para talaga syang paradise! hehehe... the name of the place is BATO... hahaha! masyado talaga kasing mabato!

We arrived early there, konti pa lang ung mga tao, and when I saw the swimming area, it's not the kind of water that pasosyal and maarteng tao would dig, so I was expecting that only a few families would be arriving later. But I was wrong! Maraming tao pumunta!

"wish you were here"

Photos will be made available soon! =D

this entry is untitled.. hehe

I'll remind myself of the things I needed to post here:

I need to submit an entry about:

* the person I like, who is bringing frustrations in my life right now... but it's alright because its the same person who has brought the greatest happiness in my life din naman.. hehe.

* korinah's bday celebration details

* our swimming! with the neighbors and cuzins!

* what we (paz, kim, leo, ako) have talked about last thursday night at leo's hauz..

* how tiring it is to "renovate" my room.. hehe..

kaya eto muna, post ko muna some photos with the 4A taken last May 17, birthday ni korinah:

2 n lang...

Baby V is out! It's Carrie VS. Bo sa Finale ng Ai4!

So, who's your bet? =D

I recommend this album! All tracks are crazysexycool! It feels like listening to a more matured Ashanti.. With this album, you can either just sit back and chill out or groove to its sexy rhytmns... just choose. =D Well, I've picked the first option.. lolx.

I visited a lot of websites today, mostly designs/graphics sites.. I was saddened when I found sites containing this kind of message:

I'm sorry but this site has already closed.. blah blah.. because I have no time to update it.. blah blah.. thank you.

I wish I will never get to that point, where I will need to close my site. waaaahh!! I won't be able to take it! I've already spent almost half of my life putting contents, writing personal rants and raves, signing up on different services and uploading everything needed to make this site of mine running!! I love my blogspot!

I promise! =D <-- [Adik pala ito eh..]

green layout!! yipee!

Wow! New Layout, courtesy of JELENA! Thanks Jelena! This is just what I wanted all along! You made an awesome job making this layout! Thanks again! =D

I knew it! Friday the 13th is not THAT bad! Why? Because a lot of wonderful things happened today! Like... uhmm.. Franz called and we talked on the phone for about an hour or so.. and kuya went to the Pahiyas Festival at Quezon, that means I'd get to use the PC for the whole saturday and sunday.. haha! and what more? uhmm... yeah, this NEW LAYOUT! don't you feel envious of me right now? hahaha! just kidding!

I LOVE THIS DAY - FRIDAY the 13th.

I really LOVE this new layout! The colors are just awesome, don't you think? I wanna thank JELENA again and again and again for this layout she created for me! She is just one hell of a designer! If I already have my own PC, and had already managed to learn more HTML and more Photoshop tricks, I'll return the favor by submitting layouts in her site... that's a promise.. but for now, all I can do is to be thankful for what she had done for me...

anthony: out of AI4

Anthony Fedorov: out of AI4..

Summer Rain

it rained last night... hehe.. i should know, because
my favorite pillow is kind of wet.. but how did that
happen? Before I even decided to lose myself to
dreamland, I made sure that the windows are closed
so that tomorrow's rays of sun will not hurt my tired
and still sleepy eyes.

Even though it felt like being in hell because my room
is kinda stuffy and the only weapon available to fight
the annoying summer heat is the electric fan, and I
can feel the warm substance produced by sweat
glands all over my body, I will still insist that it rained
last night!

Did it really rain last night? I opened my eyes this
morning, only to see a proof that I was wrong..

because beside me lying, a photo of YOU, bringing
me a sad realization:

It didn't rain last night.

I just cried.

3AM poem

3am.. ho-hum.. I'm sure my brother will be home soon so I'm posting my MAY 2 entry now.. oh look.. it's just a poem, read on:

3 A.M flashbacks

questions with clear answers
but concealed from your heart
covered by sheets called friendship
even though it felt more than that

your arms, they brought a peculiar warmth
but you are in chains, locked up
afraid to reveal the different color you have
keys buried within the soils of self denial

patience melting away like a lighted candle
path which you are willing to take still left unchosen
to be happy or to be right? two life's choices.
tick-tocks munching away moments which shud've been ours

now, the fire - your light - was already put out
the flame you wished to keep burning with unconditional love
I am the path you did not plan to take from the start; now an option
but aren't meant to be's are still arent' meant to be's

flip the page now, I'm just another chapter

frustrated music lover

I have so much passion for music. I can afford to be late for school just to finish a good song on air. I've been wishing for soo long now that sana, God will give me the time and money (ok! money alone! never mind the time, I can work that out! hehe) to learn how to play a musical intrument.

fiesta. creepwalk. religion.

my 6 yr. old cuzin rocked in the creepwalk and harlem dance contest last night! woohoo! of course, his group lost but then it was a wonderful event for him, having to step up on a stage to groove to the sound of snoop dogg... i hope so. haha! today is our baranggay fiesta.. ha! i think we're the only household in this baranggay who are not willing to spend money para maghanda... hehe.. hindi kasi namin naka-ugalian eh. speaking of fiesta, kung meron man kaming handa at pwede akong mang-imbita sa bahay, may mga friends din akong hindi pala pwedeng sumama.. sina dan and franz, being a member of Iglesia ni Cristo...

I already mentioned this to Franz, that I'm proud of her, as well as for the other people who are just like her, who are willing to sacrifice or surrender their personal rights/freedom for their religion. I just can't see myself doing that kind of thing at my age.. ako pa! e pasaway ako... nakakainis lang minsan, kasi naiisip ko na pag ginawa ko yun, parang I'm already a property of some organization na may mga set of rules na naaayon daw sa utos ng Diyos pero hindi naman naaayon sa nilalaman ng puso ko.

Sorry, I didn't mean to criticize religious orgs, sects or kahit anong grupo... pero I consider myself as a person with no religion. Pero that doesn't mean na I'm an atheist or worse, a satanist. I really believe in God. I believe that by living the life that He had given me, touching other people's lives just by being myself, I'm already knowing him little by little. I don't go to churches but my heart seems to bring me to a place closer to God just by praying. I'm not a religious person, I admit that, but I'm a spiritual person... that's the best thing I can do for GOD to make HIM happy. I just hope that won't fail.

Wag nyo nakong gayahin, malay nyo that won't really satisfy the real God, di ba? pero as much as I know Him, hindi sya ganon.

God Bless YOU.
